Building hope together

Connect, support, and fundraise with us

Our heart charity events provide vital support, bring our community together, and raise essential funds that directly enable free psychological services, specialist training, and cardiac screening initiatives.

From conquering Mount Kilimanjaro and taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, to the phenomenal effort of Dawn Starkey running 52 half marathons in 52 weeks, our supporters have achieved truly remarkable feats in the name of the Foundation. Every event helps us to prevent the heartbreak caused by undiagnosed cardiac conditions and honour Poppy’s legacy.

A mountain of dedication

Conquering Mount Kilimanjaro

In January 2025, a team of intrepid explorers, including Poppy’s Dad, Peter, her brother, Oliver, and close family friends, took on the mighty challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 19,341ft. Facing some of the harshest conditions they had ever encountered, their grit, determination, and unbreakable team bond enabled them to reach the summit. We couldn’t be prouder as they waved the Poppy’s Light Foundation flag at the highest point in Africa, raising vital funds and awareness for our cause.
