Poppy’s Light Foundation was created in our daughter Poppy’s honour — turning unimaginable heartbreak into action that protects other young lives. Poppy died from undiagnosed CPVT after collapsing during exercise — a red flag that should always prompt deeper questions 🚩
Because of you, we are working to reduce the risk of sudden cardiac death by embedding the POPPY Check into clinical practice:
P – Presenting with syncope or collapse
O – Occurring during or after exertion
P – Personal or family cardiac history
P – Potential inherited arrhythmia
Y – Yield to escalation, not reassurance
We are also campaigning for inherited cardiac conditions to be included in the newborn screening pathway — because early identification saves lives.
Every donation supports: Specialist family support, Clinical education, Policy reform, Raising awareness of SADS and inherited cardiac conditions.
Twelve young people die every week from an undiagnosed cardiac condition. Your support helps us change that.
Since August 2024, with the kindness of supporters like you, we have raised over £130,000 to provide vital services for children, young people and families. Together, we are identifying, supporting and helping young people live.
