Victoria Eagle

Founder

Victoria Eagle is the founder and Chair of Poppy’s Light Foundation. The charity was born from personal tragedy and is driven by the mission to protect young lives through cardiac awareness, screening, and emotional support. Victoria established the foundation in memory of her daughter, Poppy Victoria Eagle, who tragically passed away at the age of 20 in August 2024 from an undiagnosed heart condition.

Lisa Stewart

Trustee for Lived Experience and Engagement

Lisa Stewart ensures that the voices of families affected by inherited heart conditions are at the heart of everything the charity does. Her role is vital in shaping how the organisation listens, learns, and responds to the real-life experiences of those it serves, ensuring the foundation remains grounded in empathy. As trustee, she champions the voices of impacted families, designs inclusive engagement strategies, and advises on programs to reflect lived realities.

Graham Moor

Trustee for Fundraising and Donor Relations

Graham Moor brings a blend of NHS insight and frontline volunteer experience with Blood Bikes to champion the charity’s mission and mobilise support. He plays a pivotal role in building relationships with donors, securing vital funding, and ensuring contributions drive meaningful impact. His responsibilities include developing fundraising strategies, engaging with donors, and ensuring ethical fundraising practices. His background in the NHS and Blood Bikes provides operational insight and credibility when connecting with families and funders.

Karen Barella

Trustee for Ethics and Social Responsibility

Karen Barella brings Human Resources expertise to guide the charity’s values-driven approach to care, governance, and community engagement. Her role is vital in ensuring the organisation operates with integrity, compassion, and accountability. She is responsible for upholding ethical standards, championing inclusive practices, advising on safeguarding and governance, and embedding social responsibility into strategy.

Louise Housley-Knight

Treasurer

As Treasurer, Louise Housley-Knight plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the financial health and integrity of the organisation. Drawing on her expertise as an accountant and Managing Director at Housley Knight, she ensures financial operations are transparent, compliant, and strategically aligned with the mission. Her responsibilities include overseeing financial planning, maintaining accurate records, advising on financial strategy and risk management, and collaborating with auditors and stakeholders.

Sarah Myburgh

Trustee for Mental Health Strategy

Sarah Myburgh leads efforts to integrate emotional well-being into the charity’s support for families affected by inherited heart conditions. Her position reflects the foundation’s commitment to holistic support, prioritising emotional resilience alongside medical care. She is responsible for designing and overseeing mental health programs tailored to families navigating trauma and uncertainty, and advocating for emotional well-being within the broader mission.
