MOUNT KILIMANJARO
January of 2025 saw our group of intrepid explorers take on the mighty challenge of climbing to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, at 19,341ft tall it is the highest free-standing mountain in the world.
Our team, made up of Poppy's Dad Peter, brother Oliver, and close family friends, Ted, Phil, Paul and Tom, backed up by Craig and Luke from Uncharted Summits and fellow adventurer Nozomi, faced the some of the hardest challenges, and worst weather they had ever witnessed in their lives, but, with grit and determination, and a team bond that could not be broken, they achieved their goal of reaching the summit and waving the Poppy's Light Foundation Flag at the highest point in Africa... and we couldn't be prouder of them!
